What is Tipalti?
Tipalti is a secure and efficient payment platform that allows instructors to receive their earnings through direct bank transfers. It's designed to offer lower foreign exchange (FX) fees if you're earning in a currency other than U.S. Dollars (USD).

How to set up or switch to Tipalti
You can set up or switch to Tipalti directly through your Udemy account, as long as Tipalti is supported in your region.
1, Log in to your Udemy instructor account.
2. Go to Payout & Tax Settings.
3. Select Tipalti and complete these sections:
- Address

Payment Method
- In the Payment Method dropdown, select either Direct Deposit/ACH or Wire Transfer.
- If you selected Wire Transfer, set your currency in the Payment Currency dropdown that appears.
You'll be able to see applicable transaction or FX fees during this part of the signup process.

4. Complete the required fields to provide your bank details.
Once you complete the required fields, you'll be able to see any applicable transaction or FX fees. The fees will display on the second step of the set up process, at the bottom of the screen, where you choose your payout method and enter your bank details.
Payments
Payments from Tipalti are delivered directly to your bank account. You can view the status of your instructor payment on the instructor Payout Report page.
