Purchasing on Udemy With Oxxo

In addition to our other payment methods, learners located in Mexico can make purchases on Udemy.com using Oxxo. This article includes answers to frequently asked questions regarding Oxxo and how the payment method works.

How can I make purchases on Udemy with Oxxo?

1. If Oxxo is one of the payment methods available to you on Udemy.com, you will see the option to use it as your payment method on the checkout page. 

2. After selecting Oxxo as your payment method, you will need to enter your CURP number, before you can proceed to a secure server that will generate your voucher and barcode.

3. You can save and print the voucher via your mobile device, and the voucher will also be accessible via your Purchase history page. Once payment has been completed for the voucher, or the voucher has expired, it will no longer be available in your Purchase history. 

4. Present the voucher and barcode at an Oxxo store to make the payment for your purchase. Please note that you will have 3 days to complete the payment before the voucher expires.

  • After you complete your payment at the store, you will be provided a printed receipt so that you can verify that your payment has been made correctly if needed. 

5. Once Udemy receives confirmation that the payment has been completed, your course(s) should be available in your account within 24 hours.

I want a refund and I paid with Oxxo. How will the refund be sent?

Courses purchased with Oxxo are eligible for credit refunds, provided the request meets the guidelines in our refund policy. Learn how to submit a refund request.

I paid my Oxxo voucher today but I still can’t access my course. What can I do?

Once Udemy receives confirmation that the payment has been completed, your course(s) should be available in your account within 24 hours.

I paid my Oxxo voucher several days ago, but I still don't have the course in my account. What should I do?

If you paid the Oxxo voucher several days ago, but you still don't see the course under your Udemy account, please contact Udemy Support and provide your receipt showing that the voucher was paid.

Can I pay my Oxxo voucher after its due date?

No. The voucher must be paid within 3 days to prevent it from expiring. If the Oxxo voucher expires you will need to get another one for the course or use a different payment method to purchase it.

I didn't pay my Oxxo voucher in time; can I still pay for a course with another voucher?

Yes. If you don’t pay for the Oxxo voucher within 3 days and it expires, you can get another one for the course by following the steps outlined above. 

I changed my mind. I would like to purchase the course with a different payment method. Can I do that?

Yes. If you have not paid the Oxxo voucher yet, then you can purchase the course using another payment method. If you decided to purchase the course using another payment method, then simply do not pay for the voucher that you submitted for the course initially.

I paid for my Oxxo but the course still isn’t accessible in my account. If I provide proof that the voucher was paid, can Udemy add the course to my account?

No. The course you purchased with Oxxo will be added to your Udemy account automatically after we receive confirmation from our payment processor that the voucher was paid. As noted above, once Udemy receives confirmation that the payment has been completed, your course(s) should be available in your account within 24 hours.
