This article outlines how you can delete lectures you’ve saved for offline viewing, while using Udemy’s Android or iOS app.
Deleting Saved Lectures on the iOS App
If you’ve saved lectures for offline viewing on Udemy’s iOS app, you can delete them from your device in several ways.
Delete a Single Saved Lecture
If you wish to delete a single lecture from your iOS device, please follow these steps:
1. On the Course Curriculum, if the lecture has been downloaded previously for offline viewing, then a colored arrow will appear by the lecture title.
2. Tap on the arrow icon beside the lecture title.
3. Select Remove Download.
In addition, you can also follow these steps to remove a saved lecture:
- While viewing a specific lecture, tap on the lecture options ellipses at the top right.
- Tap on Remove Download and then Delete.
Delete an Entire Saved Course
If you have saved an entire course for offline viewing, you can remove it from your iOS device by doing the following:
1. From the Course Curriculum, tap and hold on the download icon under the course title.
2. Select Remove Downloads.
You can also delete all the content you’ve saved by tapping Remove on the Your downloaded courses screen. To access this option, click on Account at the bottom right hand of the screen. Then, select the content you wish to remove from your device.
Deleting Saved Lectures on the Android App
If you’ve saved lectures for offline viewing on Udemy’s Android app, you can delete them from your device in the following ways.
Delete a Single Saved Lecture
If you wish to delete a single lecture from your Android device, please follow these steps:
- From the Course Curriculum, tap the colored in download icon.
- A 1 download removed message will appear.
Or, you can also follow these steps to remove a saved lecture:
- While viewing a specific lecture, select the course options ellipses at the top right
- Tap Delete downloaded lecture
Delete an Entire Saved Course
If you have saved an entire course for offline viewing, you can remove it from your Android device in a couple of ways.
- Tap on the grey download icon, which appears near the top of the right hand side of the course curriculum.
- Tap Delete course downloads.
You can also delete all the offline content at once, by heading to the System Settings > Application Manager > Udemy, and choose the Clear Cache option (Please note: these settings may vary depending on the Android OS and device model). After clearing the cache, you will have to log back into the Udemy app.
