How to Download Your Certificate of Completion (on a Browser)

When you complete a paid Udemy course, you will receive a certificate of completion, which you can share with your friends, relatives, co-workers, and potential employers!  This article explains how you can download your certificate, after completing your course on a browser.

  • Using the mobile app? Learn how to download your certificate on the Udemy mobile app.
  • Updating your name or language? Learn how to change the name or language on your certificate.

How to download your certificate of completion

1. When all the curriculum items of a course have been completed, the trophy above the course player will change color, and you will see a notification indicating the certificate of completion is ready.

2. Click on the trophy. Then, click Get Certificate to view the certificate.

Certificates can be saved as a .pdf or .jpg file so that you can easily share your accomplishments.

How to share your certificate of completion

You can share your certificate as a post across several social media platforms. To do so, click the Share button on your certificate page.

Please make sure you are logged into the desired social media platform. After clicking Share, a customizable text template will appear with a link to your certificate. You can personalize your message before posting your certificate.

Encountering issues? If you are having trouble seeing the automated message, you can manually share your certificate on social media by using the URL of your certificate. This URL can also be found at the top right of the certificate

Please note:

  • Sharing your certificate is different from adding your certification to your online profiles. For detailed instructions on how to do this, consult the help resources of each specific social media platform.
  • Free courses and courses that only include practice tests do not offer a certificate of completion.
  • Udemy is not an accredited institution. Certificates demonstrate skills and accomplishments, but they cannot be used for formal accreditation.
