Udemy automatically optimizes video resolution based on your internet connection speed, but the video quality can be adjusted at any time by clicking on the gear icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the course player. You can select resolutions of 144p, 360p, 480p and 720p for the video quality.
If 1080p is available for a video lecture, then this resolution will be shown via the "Auto" option, provided there is a strong enough internet connection, and a large enough screen size. If you want 1080p streaming, but don't see the "Auto" option, please contact our Support Team here for further help.
Improving Screencast Lectures
If you're having difficulty viewing text on lectures where the instructor is sharing their screen, try adjusting the video quality.
