What is Connect 1-1?

Connect 1-1 lets you offer personalized instructor sessions directly through the Udemy platform. This feature is a valuable addition to your instructor toolkit, enabling you to maximize your expertise while providing learners with the high-touch guidance they're seeking.

How do I access Connect 1-1?

After accessing your Instructor dashboard, choose Connect from the left sidebar. If you haven't set up Connect 1-1 yet, you'll see an option to get started.

How do I set up my Connect 1-1service?

1. Begin by explaining your background and what you offer through Connect 1-1. In your session details, include a brief overview of your experience, the specific outcomes learners can expect, the duration of each session, and pricing information.

 

2. For each day, choose your start and end times using the time selectors. Click the + button to add multiple time blocks for the same day. Then, select your timezone from the dropdown menu.

3. Follow the prompts to connect your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, and keep your schedule up to date.

 

Where can I see my Connect 1-1 sessions?

You can access your session information under your Sessions history. This page displays your upcoming and past sessions, learner details and messages, session duration and earnings, and learner feedback.

Where can I join a Connect 1-1session?

To join your session, click Join call next to any upcoming session. This will connect you to the video conferencing platform, Zoom.

Please note: We recommend downloading and testing Zoom before your session to help ensure better audio and video quality for the session, and that all the features are working correctly. 

  • Visit the Zoom Download Center to learn more. 

How do I cancel a session?

In the Session details, click Cancel session next to the session you want to cancel. You'll need to add a message to the learner explaining why you're canceling and any next steps, then click Cancel session to confirm.

Please note: The learner will receive a full refund if you cancel this session.

How do I edit my Connect 1-1 details?

To update your session details, click Edit details at the top of the page. You can modify your availability and any information provided during setup, including your description, expected outcomes, pricing, and session times.

How do I disable my Connect 1-1 services?

You can enable or disable your services by toggling off the Enable services option at the top of the page.

Please note: Disabling your services will prevent new bookings, but you will still need to complete any sessions that have already been scheduled.

What is the refund policy for Connect 1-1?

Learners can cancel for a full refund until 48 hours before a booked session. If they cancel less than 48 hours before a booked session, they will not be eligible for a refund.

After purchasing your course, enrolled learners will see a link to sign up for Connect 1-1.

What happens if a learner doesn't show up to their session?

If a learner does not cancel and misses their scheduled session, they will not be eligible for a refund, and you will retain the payment. Learn more about Udemy’s refund policy. 

Can I offer group Connect 1:1 sessions?

Connect 1:1 focuses on individual sessions. We may explore group options based on instructor feedback and learner demand.
