Taking Practice Tests on the Mobile App
Read articleThis article explains how you can take practice tests using the Udemy mobile app. Udemy’s practice test feature allows courses to include comprehensive, long-form simulated exams that students can take to assess their knowledge of a particular subject.
Please note: Practice tests are available in select Udemy courses. To learn how to determine if a course offers a practice test, please visit our frequently asked questions.
How to access the practice test on the mobile app
1. After opening the Udemy mobile app, tap My learning. Then, tap on the course you wish to take.
2. Under Lectures, tap on any lecture that is labeled as a practice test.
3. Tap Open Practice Test.
4. Tap Begin test when you are ready.
Taking the practice test on the mobile app
After beginning the test, you can proceed by using the left and right arrows on the screen. You can skip a question to come back to it later, or tap on the star to mark it for review.
The progress bar at the top of the screen will show your progress as well as the time remaining in the test. If you run out of time, you will still be able to finish the test.
You can pause the test at any time by tapping the pause icon at the top of your screen, and when you're ready, tap Resume test at the bottom to resume.Viewing questions on the mobile app
You can quickly skip ahead or revisit any question view by tapping on the hamburger icon located at the bottom left of the screen.
Scroll through and tap to view any question on the practice test page. You can also use the dropdown at the top of the screen to filter by questions you have skipped or marked for review.
To return to the practice test page, tap on the hamburger icon.
Completing the practice test on the mobile app
To complete your practice test, tap on Finish test at the top right of the screen. Then, tap Finish Test again.
Please note: If you have skipped questions, you can submit this attempt or follow the directions outlined above to complete all questions.
You will see your results immediately after finishing the test. Tap Review questions to view the correct answers, or tap Retake test to take the test as many times as you would like.
To leave the practice test, tap on the cross mark in the top left corner of the screen.

Archiving a Course on The Mobile App

How to archive a course on the mobile app
1. After opening the Udemy mobile app, tap My learning at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap on the course you wish to archive.
3. After reaching the mobile course player, tap More.
4. Tap Archive course.
The archived course will now appear under the Archived courses section of My learning.
How to access archived courses on the mobile app
1. After opening the Udemy mobile app, tap My learning at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap on the filter icon, located at the top right of your screen.
3. Under Select filter, tap Archived courses to access any archived course.
How to unarchive a course on the mobile app
1. After selecting the course you wish to unarchive, navigate to the More section by using the instructions outlined above.
2. Tap Unarchive course.
The course will now return to All courses under My learning.

How to reset your password on the Udemy mobile app
If you can’t remember the password for your Udemy account, you can request a reset password email from the Udemy mobile app:
1. When you reach the login screen, tap on Sign in with email.
2. Tap Forgot password?
- No “Forgot Password” option? If you don't see a password reset option, you can log in through a code sent to your Udemy email. Learn how to log in with passwordless authentication.
3. Enter your email address and tap Submit.
4. Check your inbox for the reset password email and complete the steps to change your password.

Can’t find the reset password email?
If you do not receive the password reset message within an hour, please check your spam folder. Also, please be sure the no-reply@e.udemymail.com email is added to your safe sender list.
How to change your account’s password on the Udemy mobile app
If you are logged in to the Udemy mobile app, you can change your password at any time by doing the following:
1. After opening the Udemy mobile app, tap Account at the bottom of the screen.
2. Next, tap Account security.
3. Under Change Password, please follow the applicable instructions (and image) based on your mobile device:
- iOS: Enter your current password, your new password, and re-type your new password.
- Android: Click on the pencil icon next to your password. Then, enter your current password, enter your current password, your new password, and re-type your new password.
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Change Password.
Did you sign up for Udemy using the Apple, Facebook or Google option?
When you sign up using the Apple, Google or Facebook option, no password is created for your Udemy account. If you wish to create a password for your Udemy account and log in with the same email address that’s registered with Apple, Google or Facebook moving forward, please follow the steps outlined above to reset your password.
You can access the email address that is registered for your Udemy account in your Account settings.

How to edit your profile on the Udemy mobile app
1. After opening the Udemy mobile app, tap Account at the bottom of the screen.
2. Next, tap Account security.
3. Tap Profile.
4. Type in your first and last name, your headline, and your biography. If you wish, you can also include a link to your website, as well as your Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube usernames.

5. Scroll to the bottom and tap Save.

Please note: Only students and instructors who are logged into their Udemy accounts can view another student’s account profile. Profiles of instructors with published courses can be viewed by students and instructors when they are logged in and logged out.

2. Tap Photo.
3. Under Add / Change Image, tap Upload Image.

Closing Your Account on The Mobile App

- If you’ve created a course on Udemy as an instructor, or you have been added as a co-instructor to a course, you will need to take additional steps before you can close your account. Learn more in this Help Center article.
Important information regarding account closures
Course access: Please note that by closing your Udemy account your account will be deleted and you will lose access to all the courses you’ve enrolled in, including purchased courses. If a course was purchased within the past 30 days, however, you can request a refund before closing your account.
Account data: When you delete your account, the personal data associated with your account will be deleted or anonymized. This includes your account data and platform usage data. Please note, however, that we must retain certain data, like a record of payment transactions and data required for legal reasons. Any retained data will be deleted once the purposes of retention have been served. For additional information, please see our Privacy Policy.
Note: If you wish to revoke the close account request, you must notify our team of this within 14 days of submitting your close account request. Once the request for your account has been completed, and your account is fully deleted and anonymized, we will not be able to reinstate your account.
How to close your Udemy learner account on the mobile app
1. After opening the Udemy mobile app, tap Account at the bottom of the screen.
2. For iOS users, tap Close account.
For Android users: Under Account Settings, tap Account security. Then, tap the Close Account tab.
3. Tap Close account again to confirm you wish to proceed.
4. Depending on your account settings, you may be required to enter a six-digit verification code that our system will send to your account's email address. Otherwise, please enter your password. Then, tap Close Account again.
Note: If you encounter an error message to contact support while attempting to close your account, instructions on how to do so are available in this Help Center article.
5. As of 6/12/2024: After you have submitted your close account request, a confirmation email from no-reply@e.udemymail.com will be sent to the email address you registered with your Udemy account. The email will include instructions for how you can keep your Udemy account open if you change your mind.
As noted above, if you wish to revoke the close account request, you will need to do so within 14 days of submitting your close account request.

To continue your learning experience while you’re in a vehicle, we recommend you prepare courses to listen to offline, by downloading the lectures to your device via our mobile app.
Listen to courses with CarPlay
If your vehicle and iOS mobile device supports Apple’s CarPlay, you can use the feature to play audio from your Udemy courses. After connecting your mobile device to your vehicle, you will be able to select courses to listen to via the Udemy mobile app and progress through the course, hands-free.
Other ways to learn while in your vehicle
You can also listen to your courses by connecting your mobile device to your vehicle’s sound system and playing them through the Udemy mobile app.

- Bluetooth
Encountering issues?
If you’re encountering issues while trying to listen to courses in your vehicle, please do the following:
- Check to see if the video lectures have been successfully downloaded to your device.
- Follow these troubleshooting steps for playback issues with downloaded lectures.
- Ensure that your device’s operating system meets the Udemy app’s minimum requirements.
- Restart the mobile app.
- Restart your vehicle (by turning the ignition off and then on).
- If you’re using an AUX or USB cable, check to see that you’re using a cable that’s compatible with your device and that it’s not damaged.
If the issues continue, we recommend contacting the vehicle’s or sound system’s manufacturer for further assistance.

You can set up learning reminders on your mobile device, and receive push notifications for them, by following the steps below.
1. Open the Udemy app on your device and tap Account at the bottom-right.
2. Next, tap Push notifications and then Learning reminders.
3. Toggle the learning reminders feature to on.
Please note: If your notifications are not allowed, you will be directed to the notification settings on your device to enable notifications on the Udemy app.
4. Tap Frequency.
5. Select the days and times you wish to receive learning reminders.
