Benefits of uploading a certification badge
Certification badges provide verifiable proof of the skills you’ve acquired. Uploading your badge into your Udemy account is seamless and allows you to easily access your badges and their specific details at any time (see below for more information).
How to import a badge to your Udemy account
1. After logging in to your Udemy account, click My learning in the top right.
2. On your My learning page, click on the Certifications tab.3. Click on Import new badge, and follow the instructions to upload the Open Badge that you received from the original badge issuer.
You can use either the badge image or link option to upload the badge.
Please note:
- Screenshots of the badge cannot be used in place of an Open Badge.
- If you’re using the link option to upload the badge, please be sure to enter your assertion URL so the badge can be validated. This is the URL that is used to validate the badge assertion, which includes information about the badge issuer and badge holder. If you're having difficulties obtaining the assertion URL, please contact the badge issuer for assistance.
4. After you have uploaded your badge, you will be able to validate the information. When ready, click Validate and upload.
Please note: If your badge does not meet the Open Badge v2 standard, you will be unable to import the badge and will see an error message. Screenshots cannot be used in place of an Open Badge.
