Subscription Plan Refund Exceptions Due to Applicable Law

Udemy is unable to provide refunds for our Subscription Plans, unless otherwise required by applicable law. This article outlines which locations require Udemy subscriptions to be eligible for refunds, and the subsequent requirements to submit a refund request.

  • Learn more about Udemy’s refund policy.
  • Learn more about managing your Udemy subscriptions.

Eligible locations for subscription refunds

Depending on where you are located, you may be eligible for a subscription refund. We determine your location based on the country associated with your Udemy account. For example:

  • South Africa: students with accounts in South Africa can receive a full refund within 7 days from the start of your subscription. Please note that if you sign up for a free trial, you agree that this 7-day period begins on the first day of your free trial.
    • For example, if you signed up for a 7-day free trial, the period begins on the first day of your free trial, so no fees would be paid as a refund.
  • United Kingdom: students with accounts in the United Kingdom can receive a full refund within 14 days from the start of your subscription. Please note that if you sign up for a free trial, you agree that this 14-day period begins on the first day of your free trial.

If you meet these qualifications and would like to receive a refund, you must submit a refund request to Udemy Support before your applicable refund period concludes.
