Navigate the course management dashboard for course creation
The course management dashboard walks you through the course creation and publication process step-by-step. Each page contains tips and information to help you complete that section. As you complete and save each section, you’ll see those items checked off on the left hand side.
After you complete each section and course requirement, you can submit your course for review.
Plan your course
This section helps you plan your course and prepare your equipment before you start adding content.
- Intended learners: Help your learners decide if your course is right for them, by setting out learning objectives or outcomes, prerequisites, and information about intended learners.
- Course structure: Provides resources to help you prepare your course outline, including best practices and course requirements.

Setup & test video: Provides resources for setting up your video and audio equipment. You can also create a test video and receive personalised feedback from our experts.

Create your content
In this section, you’ll build out your course content and select course settings.
- Film & edit: Provides tips and resources to help you create your video content.

Curriculum: Create your course sections and add lectures and practice activities. You must have a minimum of 5 lectures, 30 minutes of video content, and a title and content for all curriculum items.

Captions (optional): Create, add, and manage captions for your video content.

Publish your course
In this section, you’ll prepare your course for publication, including your preferences for pricing and promotions.
Course landing page
Create your course landing page to entice learners to enroll in your course. You need to complete each field before you can submit your course for review. See best practices for creating your landing page.

Course title and subtitle: Inform students of what they’ll learn and how they’ll apply that skill.

Basic information: Add the course language, the learning level, category, and primary topic.

Instructor profile(s): Your profile and the profile of any visible co-instructors in the course must be completed with a name, a photo, and a short bio (50 words minimum).

Pricing
Set the currency and price tier for your course. Note: You must become a Premium instructor if you want to charge a fee for your course.
Promotions
Create coupons and get your course referral link to share and promote your course.
Course messages
Create automatic Welcome and Congratulations messages to send to your learners when they join or complete your course.

Submit your course for review
After you complete the above sections, click Submit for review to begin the Quality Review process.

Navigate the course management dashboard for published courses
Once your course has been published, you can use the course management dashboard to manage your course content and settings.
Course Editing
You can use the Course editing section to update your course content.
These tabs are the same as the course creation options detailed above:

In addition, the Udemy feedback tab displays any course feedback provided by the Udemy review team.

- Review course enrollment requests, if your course is invitation-only.
