What is Starter Plan?

Starter Plan offers professional and lifestyle courses in an ad-supported format. With this plan, you will have access to:

  • Top-rated business, creative, and lifestyle courses
  • Guided learning from the AI Assistant
  • Quizzes and assignments to reinforce learning

Are all courses and features available in Starter Plan?

No, not all Udemy courses are included with a Starter Plan subscription. However, you will still have access to thousands of business, creative, and lifestyle courses across hundreds of topics! 

If you’d like to explore an even wider selection of courses and unlock additional features, we recommend upgrading to a Personal Plan subscription.

How can I find which courses are available on Starter Plan?

For a list of courses available on Starter Plan, please access this link. 

Please note: 

  • This list is not translated into all languages. Course names appear in their original language on Udemy.com. 
  • Udemy strives to provide an up-to-date list, but there may be additions or removals as needed.

If you are not subscribed to Starter Plan, you can also confirm if a course is included in the subscription by reviewing under the course image on the course landing page. 

Courses labeled with a Select a plan option indicate the course is included in the subscription.

Once you subscribe to the Starter Plan, you can easily see which courses are available by using the Included in your plan filter on the course search page.

This will only show you the courses you can access with your current subscription.

Why do I see an option to upgrade my plan when I try to access a course or feature?

Some courses or features are not included in Starter Plan. If a course isn't available, you may see an option to upgrade your plan on the course page. Alternatively, you can purchase the course individually.

Please note: Some courses on Udemy may only be available as individual purchases. If you do not see an option to upgrade, you can still purchase the course separately.

I purchased Starter Plan, but can I upgrade to another plan? 

Yes, you can upgrade to a different plan at any time. When searching for a course on Udemy.com, you will see options in a few different locations to upgrade your plan. 

Click on any Upgrade to Personal Plan option and follow the on-screen payment instructions to complete your plan upgrade. 

  • You may also see an option to upgrade to a Learn AI with Google + Udemy Personal Plan account. Learn more about the Learn AI with Google plan. 

Can I downgrade to Starter Plan?

No, downgrading to Starter Plan is not available at this time.
