Can I get a refund for my Personal Plan?
Since Personal Plan is a subscription product, it does not offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, and no refunds or partial refunds are available unless otherwise required by applicable law.
During the free trial period, learners who are enrolled in a subscription can cancel at any time.
Please note: Depending on where you're located, you may be entitled to a refund. We determine your location based on the country associated with your account. (Learn more).
How does the free trial work?
Eligible learners can try the Personal Plan subscription via the free trial to determine if it’s a good fit for their learning needs. The duration of your free trial, when it ends, and how much your subscription fee will be is posted on your Subscriptions page.
You may cancel at any time during your free trial without being charged.

After the trial ends, your trial will automatically convert to the applicable subscription fee (plus applicable transaction taxes).
Please note:
- The free trial option is not available in certain jurisdictions, and as a result, not all learners will have access to the free trial option.
- The free trial is only available to new subscribers. If you have previously accessed the Personal Plan, either through a free trial or paid subscription, for either the monthly or annual option, then you do not qualify.
Will I be billed during my free trial?
No. You will be charged your subscription fee plus applicable transaction taxes once the free trial ends and converts to a subscription.
Can I switch from a monthly to an annual Personal Plan, or vice versa?
No. Currently, it is not possible to switch from a monthly to an annual Personal Plan subscription, or vice-versa, while your current subscription is active.
If you wish to enroll in a different Personal Plan option, you will need to cancel your subscription (please see above), wait for the current subscription to expire, and then purchase the Personal Plan with the desired term length.
Can I cancel my subscription?
If you decide the subscription isn’t the right fit for your learning needs, you can cancel your enrollment at any time. You will have access to the subscription content until the final date of your billing period, which is posted on your Subscriptions page.

How to access the Subscriptions page
You can view your subscription information, and manage its settings, by navigating to your Subscription page. The Subscriptions page can be accessed from the drop-down menu at the top right-hand of your screen.
Review your subscription information and billing status
At the Subscriptions page you can review which subscriptions you’re currently enrolled in, the next payment date and the total charge you will be billed. You can also see which payment method will be charged, and access your Payment history.
Updating your payment method
If you need to update the payment method for your subscription, click Update in the Payment method section, enter the applicable information and click Save.
How to cancel your subscription
If you decide the subscription isn’t the right fit for your learning needs, you can cancel your enrollment at any time by clicking Cancel subscription. If you have any questions about your subscription, or if there's anything we can help you with before you cancel it, please contact Udemy Support.
If you cancel your subscription, you will have access to the subscription content until the final date of your billing period, which is posted on your Subscriptions page.
How to cancel your free trial before being charged
If you’re enrolled in a subscription via the free trial, you can cancel the free trial at any time, without being charged. Navigate to the applicable subscription on your Subscription page and click Cancel trial. The duration of your free trial, and when it ends, is also posted on that page.

On your Subscriptions page: you can quickly enroll in a Udemy subscription by following the steps below.
1. Navigate to your Subscriptions page (if available in your account) to review the subscription plans you’re eligible to enrol in. The Subscriptions page can be accessed from the drop-down menu at the top right of the page.
2. Click on the subscription you would like to choose and complete the checkout process. Eligible students will also see the option to try the free trial (see below).
3. After subscribing, you can access courses available to you via the Subscriptions tab on your My Learning page.
Via a course landing page: you can also sign up for a Udemy subscription through a course landing page, by following the steps below.
1. If a course is included in a subscription, you will see the option to enroll in the subscription on the course landing page at Udemy.com. If eligible, you will also see the option to try the free trial (see below). Click on the option you would like to choose.
2. Enter your payment information and complete the checkout process.
3. You can access that course, and others available to you, on the Subscriptions tab on your My Learning page.
Please note: learners can only enroll in one subscription program at a time (learn how to cancel or manage your Udemy subscriptions).

The Personal Plan subscription allows learners to learn what they need, when they need it, by providing access to thousands of highly rated courses in hundreds of course topics!
What’s the difference between a Personal Plan subscription and purchasing a Udemy Marketplace course?
- Personal Plan: A monthly or annual subscription with access to thousands of courses in hundreds of course topics. You will have unlimited access to the subscription’s content as long as you are subscribed to Personal Plan.
- Udemy course: By purchasing a Udemy marketplace course, you obtain lifetime access to that course alone after enrolling in it.

At this time, the annual Personal Plan subscription option is not available to all learners. But, as noted above, our team hopes to make our subscription options available to more learners moving forward.
Can I pause my Personal Plan subscription?
No. Once your Personal Plan subscription is canceled, the course progress and certificate access via the course will be lost upon cancellation.
Is Personal Plan available on the Udemy mobile app?
Yes. You can access all the courses in the Personal Plan collection on Udemy’s mobile app, after you’ve enrolled in the subscription at Udemy.com (via a desktop, laptop, or mobile browser).
Currently, however, you cannot sign up for the Personal Plan subscription on the Udemy mobile app.

Are all courses included in a Personal Plan subscription?
While not all Udemy courses are included in a Personal Plan subscription, there are thousands of courses available in hundreds of course topics!
How do I check if a course is in the Personal Plan subscription?
If you are not enrolled in Personal Plan, we recommend checking under the image of the course on the course landing page to confirm whether the course you’re interested in is included.
If you’re eligible for a free trial, and see Try Personal Plan for free under Preview this course, this means the course is included.
Can I request to have a course added to the Personal Plan subscription?
When determining the collection’s courses, our team evaluates a number of criteria, some of which include the course rating, instructor performance and topic relevance. Although courses cannot be added to the collection by request at this time, you can purchase the course separately on Udemy and receive lifetime access to it.
Subscription information
What languages are the courses taught in?
Currently, the Personal Plan subscription includes courses that are taught in English, and depending on your location, a localized, course collection may be available. We hope to add more courses that are instructed in other languages moving forward.
English auto-generated subtitles have been added to all non-language learning courses, and many of the collection’s courses offer subtitles in additional languages.

Will I have full lifetime access to subscription content?
You will have unlimited access to subscription content as long as you have an active Personal Plan subscription. If you cancel your subscription, you will have access to the subscription content until the final date of your billing period, which is posted on your Subscriptions page.
Will I still have access to courses I enrolled in before subscribing to Personal Plan?
Subscribing to Personal Plan does not affect your access to courses that you've previously purchased or enrolled in. You will continue to have lifetime access to all courses you enrolled in before subscribing, provided that your account is in good standing and Udemy has a license to that course.
Certificates of completion on Personal Plan
Will I receive a certificate of completion after finishing courses in my Personal Plan?
Yes. You will receive a certificate of completion after finishing courses you’ve taken via the Personal Plan subscription.
If I cancel my subscription or let it expire, and then resubscribe later, will I lose my course progress and access to my certificates of completion?
Yes. The course progress and certificate access for the courses will be lost if the subscription expires or is canceled.
Navigating your Personal Plan subscription
Which courses are available to me when enrolled on Personal Plan?
After subscribing to the Personal Plan, you'll gain access to the subscription’s collection of courses. To begin a course, click on View Course.
Why can’t I find a course in my Personal Plan?
Please note that not all Udemy courses are included in the Personal Plan subscription.
If there is a specific course you are interested in that is not available under your current subscription, you can purchase the course separately and receive lifetime access to it.
How do I find courses outside of my Personal Plan subscription?
To view courses outside of the Personal Plan, scroll to the bottom of any search results page or course category page. Then, click on Search outside your subscription at the bottom of the page.
Here, you will be able to purchase individual courses not available through the Personal Plan subscription.

To return to your course subscription, click on Go back to the Personal Plan collection, available at the top of your course search features.
As a Personal Plan subscriber, can I gift a course in the collection?
No. The gifting feature is not available to Personal Plan subscribers, for courses that are included in the Personal Plan subscription. You can, however, gift other courses that are not included in the Personal Plan collection.
